Ardoene Park, Providence, RI 10 am—1 pm.
We invite you to join at Ardoene Park as RI Tree celebrates this momentous day along with National Grid and the RI Department Environmental Management (RIDEM).
RI Tree will celebrate Arbor Day this year by holding a tree-planting ceremony at Ardoene Park, Providence, RI, from 10 am-1 pm. The event will include lunch, speakers, and the presentation of Tree City USA Awards to the host communities.
Arbor Day recognizes the importance of trees and the numerous benefits they provide to people. They purify the air, help cool the Earth, boost property values, and soothe the human psyche. They also beautify where we live, work and recreate, and absorb storm-water, saving taxpayers millions of dollars in annual flood damage and treatment costs.
Arbor Day sponsors include the National Grid Companies, RI Department of Environmental Management, Town of Providence, and the Rhode Island Tree Council. For more details or questions about this year’s Arbor Day, contact RITree by telephone 401.764.5885 or email ritree@ritree.org.
See you on Arbor Day!
